About Me
I’m a public health data professional with a decade of experience in healthcare and technology in New York City. I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of capacities, from interacting directly with patients, to building and supporting EHR-adjacent tools, to working with state and local government agencies. I’ve transformed and analyzed data from all sorts of sources, including:
- Patient Portals
- Electronic Health Records
- Disease Surveillance Interfaces
- Health Information Exchanges
- Operations Databases
- Open Data Repositories
- Financial Systems
I believe that being a good steward of data and remembering the humanity in it is the most important thing data professionals can do.
I graduated from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University with an MPH in sociomedical sciences and research methods, and from Smith College with a BA in anthropology and archaeology.
When I’m not playing around with NYC Open Data, you’ll find me rock climbing, attempting to sew, or trying out a new recipe.
